Newton Fund: Call for Researcher mobility applications in the fields of social sciences and humanities

31/01/2018 - 16:05
In 2016, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED), the British Academy (BA) and Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) signed a collaboration framework to execute the “Researcher mobility grants’’ Programme. This collaboration is under the framework of Newton Fund Programme in Vietnam.
In accordance with this framework, the parties will support Vietnamese scientists to apply for short-term research fellowship in the UK under the program and regulations of each party.
The British Academy is currently calling for applications from Vietnamese researchers in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The British Academy offers up to a maximum of £10,000 for each one-year research collaboration between VN researchers and the UK partners.
Deadline for submission: 14 March 2018 (UK time).
Please refer to the scheme notes available on the programme’s website.
Please note: this programme is not under NAFOSTED’s short-term research fellowship in the UK. NAFOSTED will launch another call from Vietnam side in the next few months.
* Newton Fund Programme Vietnam builds research and innovation partnerships with 18 partner countries to support their economic development and social welfare, and to develop their research and innovation capacity for long-term sustainable growth. It has a total UK Government investment of £735 million up until 2021, with matched resources from the partner countries. Researcher mobility is among key programmes of the Newton Fund.
